Gerald Berger

Gerald Berger has been a senior fellow and project manager at the Institute for Managing Sustainability since 2006. He holds a Master degree in Political Science from the University of Salzburg (Austria) and an MSc in Sustainability, Planning and Environmental Policy from Cardiff University (Wales, UK). His current research activities focus on sustainable development policy, governance for sustainable development, environmental policy, policy analysis and policy advice. He has extensive experience in EU funded research projects (FP5, FP6 and FP7), the exchange between policy-making and research, and the design and facilitation of European-wide conferences and workshops. He is also managing the European Sustainable Development Network (ESDN), the largest European network of policy-makers and experts SD strategies and policies.
